LAND OF FUNK: Threads From the Center of the Groove

"So anyway… the funk didn't come from nowhere. It came from Dayton."

Welcome to the Land of Funk, where Dayton, Ohio's 70s and 80s funk legacy meets SOANYWAY's black-and-white wit. Long before the rest of the world caught the groove, Dayton was laying down the bass lines, horn stabs, and talk box vocals that built a genre. This collection is for the people who know that: Dayton funk shirts, Ohio pride tees, vinyl record graphics, and music humor for record diggers, bass players, and anyone who has ever said "actually, that came from Ohio."

  • Hometown history, drawn sideways: real Dayton funk lore turned into designs that reward a second look. (Check the tail number.)
  • Gem City pride: for Dayton natives, Ohio expats, and anyone who still calls it pop.
  • Vinyl-brained: 45 adapters, record grooves, and talk box tubes. The gear that made the sound.
  • Light + dark, one listing: same punchline, two vibes. Stage-black or daytime-clean.
  • Gift-proof for the funk fan: for the friend who owns more records than plates and will explain every single one.

The lineup:

  • LAND OF FUNK - Ohio, pressed on vinyl. The center label lands on Dayton.
  • FIRST IN FUNK - We invented flight. Then we invented a reason to land.
  • TALK BOX ONLY - No small talk. Only talk box.

"So anyway… turn the bass up. Dayton's listening."
